The quarterback situation in Minnesota has rapidly gone from bad (Brett Favre) to worse (Tarvaris Jackson) to possibly ugly (undecided.)

Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier said Tuesday Jackson?s status for Monday?s game against the Bears is ?in jeopardy? because of turf toe. Frazier did not sound optimistic about Jackson and mentioned Joe Webb could get first team reps on Thursday.

Frazier also said they are looking at 8 different quarterbacks outside the organization that could possibly start the game.
The most optimistic part of Frazier?s press conference was surprisingly regarding Brett Favre?s status. Frazier sounded hopeful Favre could will play again, possibly this week. An ultrasound on Favre?s shoulder and neck came up negative. Injured reserve is not currently an option for Favre.

Frazier would not dismiss the fact that Favre could start. "We're hoping to get him back," Frazier said. "He had an ultrasound today just to check some of the nerve area in the shoulder and the neck and it was negative. We?ll see how he feels as the week goes on and just try to monitor that and hopefully it will get better for him as the week goes on."

Frazier acknowledged that he doesn't expect Jackson will be able to practice Thursday. The Vikings also have quarterback R.J. Archer on their practice squad but he was just recently signed after spending a portion of the offseason with the team and almost certainly won't be promoted to the 53-man roster.

So Cal
Feel bad for Jackson, first he sits behind a sub par Farve, then gets his big chance.....only to end up with turf toe. Patrick Ramsey. Sure. Chi's defense is licking their chops. Especially since AP is also hurt.
