i have a question for our resident movie-meister.....
dvr`ed both "the road" and "the book of eli"(at least will have it dvr`ed saturday)....
seem generally similar in storyline.......
which one hit your g-spot?....either or both worth the time?...

Im a big fan of this genre, neither were 'great'
Saw Eli in the theatre, wanted to see The Road but it wasnt playing anywhere around here upon its limited release.

The Road - enjoyable. The end is ok. Liked it overall.
Eli - Loved it. Fun to watch. Love the ending.

watched "the road" last night,and a long road it was....
you guys were right...
i never wanted to beat a child for the hell of it in my life...but that kid had me knashing my teeth...
the kid looked to be 10-12 range...and his father was carrying him around like he was paralyzed from the waist down.....whining...catatonic....no help whatsoever....if that had been me,the kid would have been ball-gagged..
this kid was the antithesis of every kid i grew up with...
and the wife?...what a selfish bint...
looking forward to "eli"....has to be better than this tripe...

Agree - I do like the movie (don't need to ever see it again) because it is a story that involves the struggle after the apocalypse (or whatever involves the end of the world) and I enjoy that subject matter.
