Better late than never for Jackson


He was the last to arrive in the bayou, but he was the first inside the Louisiana Superdome Friday morning.

Ohio senior quarterback Boo Jackson has been cleared to play for the Bobcats, and will tonight when Ohio (8-4) takes on Troy (7-5) in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Kick off is set for 9 p.m.

Ohio should get a boost with the return of starting quarterback Boo Jackson, whose status was questionable throughout the week. Jackson stayed behind in Athens, Ohio, to take care of academic issues and didn?t practice all week. He got the issues resolved, and he arrived Thursday night in the Crescent City and will play.
