I only use my crock pot about once every two weeks. What kind of stuff do you guys make in it?

Here's a easy one that I love to throw together:

Mushroom and Potato Stew

- 2 cans Mushroom Soup (add some milk if it is a condensed soup)
- 2 or 3 Potatoes chopped
- 1 cup of chopped Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Jalapeno pepper sliced
- 1 cup of chopped Onion
- 1 cup of chopped Celery
- 1 cup of Corn (I use canned)
- 1 cup of Mushrooms
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste

I usually set it up for 6-8 hours in the cooker. You can add anything you want to it, because the mushroom soup is what carries it. If you don't like it spicy, skip the jalapeno. If you like it spicy, add a little Tabasco/Frank's Red Hot or some crushed red pepper. I like it spicy. :tongue

Taco Soup

Taco Soup

Ingredients:

--1 lb browned ground turkey or hamburger
--1 packet taco seasoning
--1 packet ranch dressing mix
--2 cans of kidney beans
--2 cans of pinto beans
--2 cans of corn
--1 large can of diced tomatoes
--1 can tomatoes and chiles

--shredded cheese and sour cream for xtra goodness at serving

Directions:

--brown meat
--drain fat and add meat to crockpot
--sprinkle seasoning packets on top of meat
--drain and rinse the beans and add
--add the ENTIRE contents of the corn and tomato cans
--stir.

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5. Low and longer is gonna be better....Stir
well, and serve with how much of that shredded cheese and sour cream ya want

and, of course, this soup is easy and tasty to spice up with jalape?o, chili powder (added to crock) and/or hot sauce if you aren't feeding any women, sissies or little children.

I sometimes brown meat and drain beans night before to make a very easy toss-in next morning.
