Kansas City area for who knows how long....
I knew a fellow who worked at a zoo and had a flying fox for a pet. It would hang out on the hanger rod in his closet. Follow him around the house like a dog at times.

Since these bats dine on fruit, their head and ears resemble other mammals that feed on such a diet, unlike the specialized diet of other bats who use crazy sophisticated echo-location apparatus on face and ears to catch prey at night. Fruit bats locate food with just eyes and nose, in the daytime.

Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of them taking a dump while flying. Would make a pigeon look like no big deal. :eek:

LOL, yeah its paradoxoff.com. Its a reporting site but has some interesting articles.

Nick, that fox bat would scare the bejeezus out of me if it was hanging above the garbage cans... :scared
