Help on the Patriots

Do they Patriots have anything to play for this week? It appears that they have already wrapped up homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. I'm trying to decide whether or not to play Brady and Welker in my fantasy football championship. I have Cassell and Chad Johnson as my other options. Any help appreciated.

Yes they do, from my view they have not clinched the division yet even though the currently have a 2 game lead on NYJ. Since they have 2 division games left with Bills and Dolphins, if they were to lose both and NYJ win both, the Jets would win the division by virtue of a better division record since they split their games against each other.

Also, they want to be sure they lock up (if they win next game) the number one overall seed. Before last week, they needed to go 2-1. Still the case. People around here were saying "well, if Pitt wins, then the Jets are further away." problem being then Pitt is closer to catching them for #1 seed overall. other people were saying "well, if the jets win, then pitt is closer away", great, but like jr said, they could still back into winning the division.

keep in mind, although it was "meaningless" to some extent, they played their starters all 17 weeks last year, and that was when welker destroyed his acl...

The only team that can catch them is the Jets. Both Baltimore and Pittsburgh are 2 games behind them and NE beat them both. In order to get the number 1 seed from NYJ, they need to win one game or have NYJ lose one.

Some teams do not worry about tanking a game if they have a weaker opponant the following week.

i may look at ochocinco here if you wanna get crazy lol...owens out rest of year, and they wiill have too throw somewhere...brady spreads it out everygame and hard too bank on anyone in particualr too have a big game for the pats in the receiving game. I think ocho goes for 100+ and a TD at home. good luck too ya man, i made playoffs in two of my three leagues, but i lost both semi final matches so ill be rooting for ya!!!!!

You may be right about CJ! No Terrell Owens so that doesn't leave many choices, maybe Shipley. My only worries about playing CJ is they may double team him and force Palmer to throw to his other options.

ya may get doubled....i look at it like this...ochocinco put up numbers long before t.o arrived and he at times was doubled...i think he will make some plays...i dont like the guy really but cant deny his talent...good luck either way represent mjs with a fantasy crown!
