The dark side of the Moon
2 1/2 cups (12 1/2 ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon table salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/4 cup cold vodka
1/4 cup cold water



Put the vodka in the freezer for about 1/2 to 1hr I am old school now I have a food processor but I don't use it to make the crust

It comes out tender and flaky what happens is as the crust cooks the alcohol evaporates and cause layers thin layers to become tender between the flour and butter.
