Those streets and intersections were not originally designed for cars. Notice the speed of the vehicles. Bicylces and mopeds going 15 miles per hour aren't going to kill anyone.

These accidents all have one thing in common--not hardly any traffic--which extremely rare.
Most time it is bike to bike and bumber to bumber and even more amazing no more accidents than they have.

Wish I could find video of pedestrian crossing non stop traffic on busy street. It would be much more remarkable.

You just walk out and keep same pace and they maneuver around you. If you were to walk out-panic and stop--you have donimno effect.

They have same colored lights as we do but if no one coming or late at night they use red light as we would a caution light--but will get ticketed if caught. I would never attempt to drive in China--and no else should as you can get cab driver for whole day for bout $12. --was $8 1st time I went.

Maybe even stranger was Colon Panama--they have no traffic lights nor stop signs in city. Cab ride freaked me out last week.:scared

Downtown port au prince Haiti also terrible traffic and no traffic signals. Amazing drivers! Scary as heck cuz they stack u n the back of a pickup truck about 15 people deep! :scared
