So Sorry to hear about your father. God bless you and your family in your time of need. No words could replace the loss you must feel as I still feel the pain of the loss of my pop from 12 yrs ago.

Like others have said, I am truly sorry for your loss. Think and remember all the good times you had with him, and no one can ever take those away.

I think the number of replies tells you that this is not just a sports betting forum, but a place where you can come when you need encouragement and support. I think that is what separates MadJacks from the other forums out there. I have met some really good people on here, and even though there is some ball busting that goes on, 99% of the people on here would help a fellow MadJacker at the drop of a hat.

Prayers to you and your family.:toast:

This thread will be printed out and given to my mom tomorrow. She told me today when I asked that he read the other thread I posted on Christmas Eve and smiled, but also cried sometimes. I didn't believe that he read it more than once between when I gave it to him on Christmas Day and when he went back to the hospital last Thursday, but wouldn't you know it. It was laying on top of a book from his favorite author that my mom gave him for Christmas beside his favorite chair.

Again, I thank you all for giving him a little of that in his last few days. I've had one hour of sleep in the last two days, but I'm taking a break from all of this and enjoying the Orange Bowl. Go VT, but I guarantee that Big Dave came up with some justification for taking yet another favorite at the ultimate sportsbook in the sky.

Good Bless.

Very sorry Fla

Very sorry Fla

I know you already sort of closed out the thread, but I just logged on and saw this. Praying that God gives you and your family the comfort and peace that only He can provide.

Take care of yourself...and take one day at at time.

As the saying goes "The apple does'nt fall far from the tree". You have proven yourself a to be a standup guy of character. This is no accident and can only be attributed to parenting. I am sorry for you and your mothers lose, but take solice in the fact that you were allowed to spend many years with an obvious man of integrity who was an asset to the world. I wish you and yours' nothing but the best!

Sorry about your dad. I almost lost mine last year and it was a miracle he survived. I hope you got to enjoy as much time with him as possible.
