Dave mentioned over in the General that Montas isn't ready for this start, so I figured I'd check his stats so far in the minors. It ain't pretty.

He made 2 starts in A ball. 4 1/3 innings, 4 H, 4 BB, 4 ER, 4 K.

He then made 4 starts in AAA. It got worse. 14 1/3 innings, 26 H, 6 BB, 21 (twenty one!!) ER, 8 K. Oh, and 8 HR in those 14+ innings.

So I think we all know he's going to toss 7 scoreless innings tonight.

well, strider had been mediocre until his last 2 starts, and one of those was against colorado.

the mets are pretty big dogs, considering they are 27-11 at home and the braves are 14-26 on the road.

5-8 on the road since his return, including losing 2 of 3 at miami just before this series. they're averaging 3.9 runs in those 13 games, while averaging 4.2 on the season.

hey, i hope atlanta blows them out tonight. i'm on them in a few ways. but this is one of those spots that feels way too easy.
