Played these overnight.....................

Minnesota/Philadelphia Over 8'
-The Phillies have gone over this total 13 of their last 21 games and average 4.86 runs per game this season, while the Twins give up an average of 4.83 runs per game. In Minnesota's starter Joe Ryan last 5 starts, his opponents have gone over the total in 5-straight games and 11 of his last 13! In August-September his ERA is 5.59. Meanwhile, the Phillies have gone over the total 7 of their last 10 and tonight's starter Aaron Nola is having a terrible season, going 4-10 with a 6.46 ERA, an ERA of 6.00 at home, and an ERA of 5.67 at night. His current form is also not good, with an ERA of 7.89! Play Minnesota/Philadelphia Over 8'..............

-I am aware that the Yankees are in a brutal pennant race with Toronto tied for first in the NL East, but I believe at least 1 of these teams (or both) lose tonight. I just can't overlook the difference in yearly and current form of the 2 starting pitchers. The O's start LHP Trevor Rogers is a staggering 9-2 with an ERA of 1.35 on the season. His splits are even better. He is 5-1 on the road with a 1.66 ERA and at night he is a perfect 4-0 with an ERA of 1.37 with a .166 opponents batting average! His current form? In his last 4 starts, he is 2-0 with a 1.16 ERA AND in his last 2 starts he has allowed 0 ER's on only 4 hits for an ERA of 0.00 with a OBA of .111! Furthermore, on 9/19, Rogers shut out the Yankees on 1 hit in 6 IP Starting for the Yankees is RHP Will Warren who is only 8-8 on the season with an ERA of 4.35! In his last 2 starts, he is 0-2 with an ERA of 7.84! Tonight, I'm going to take a chance with the O's and Rogers at a nice underdog price...........

-Toronto (as mentioned above) is tied for first with the Yankees for first place in the AL East, but they really aren't playing that well. They have dropped 6 of 8 and are just 3-7 head-to-head with the Rays their last 10 meetings. In their last 6 losses, they have only scored 5 total runs, so they just aren't hitting. Starting for the Rays is RHP Adrian Houser who is 8-4 on the season with an ERA of 3.18. In addition, in 2 starts vs Toronto this year, he is 2-0 giving up only 3 ER's in 13 1/3 IP for an ERA of 2.03. Starting for Toronto is RHP Shane Bieber who is a very pedestrian 2-2 in his last 5 starts with an ERA of 4.01........Play Tampa Bay at a hefty underdog price.

Cleveland -147 and RL +145
-Cleveland comes into this game tied with Detroit for first place in the AL Central. Cleveland comes into tonight's game with the Rangers 8-2 their last 10 games and winners of 17 of their last 20. Tonight, they start RHP Slade Cecconi who has excellent current form. In his last 3 starts he is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.87 and in his last start, shutout the Twins on 2 hits in 7 IP with 8 K''s. Meanwhile, Texas has completely fallen out of post-season contention and have lost 9 of their last 10 games. In those 10 games, they have scored just 26 runs (an avg of 2.6 runs per game) Texas starts RHP Jack Leiter who is just 9-10 on the season with an ERA of 3.92. On the road, he is just 3-7 with an ERA of 4.41 and in his last 5 starts is 1-3 with as 4.34 ERA. In addition, in his last start, he was lit up for 4 ER's on 8 hits in 5 2/3 IP for a 6.35 ERA against the Marlins. Play Cleveland SU and on the runline.

-The Mets come into tonight's game just 1 game up on the Reds for the last spot in the NL wild card race, but they are going to have a tough time against the Marlins and Sandy Alcantara. After a terrible start to the season, Alcantara has completely turned it around in the last month or so. In his last 5 starts, he is 4-1 with an ERA of 3.21 ERA and in his 2 starts vs the Mets this year he is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA! In addition, the Marlins are 7-2 their last 9 games! Meanwhile, the Mets are just 33-45 on the road this year, a negative proposition of -$1408! Tonight, they start RHP Brandon Sproat who is making just his 4th start of the season. He is 0-1 on the road and at night has an ERA of 9.00! Wrong team favored in this one....Play Miami.

About a month and a half ago, Detroit has the best record in baseball and led Cleveland by 12+ games in the AL Central. After a complete collapse, they are now tied with Cleveland in their division. They are 1-8 their last 9 and have scored only 22 runs during this stretch for an average of 2.44 runs per game! Their team morale has GOT to be down and they are probably doubting themselves Now, they must travel to Boston, who is dealing with their own playoff positioning and are 46-32 at home! tonight, the Tigers start RHP Casey Mize who after a terrific start to the season has completely faded down the stretch. In July-September, he had an ERA of 5.62 and in his last 5 starts, he is 2-2 with an ERA of 4.97! Meanwhile, the Red Sox have won 4 of 6 and start LHP Kyle Harrison (a starter/reliever) who in his last 2 appearances (1 start) he allowed 1 run in 9 IP...........Play Boston
