Nothing got ignored. I think you are right. The issue is the blurring of all the different comments and responses in both parties and even here.

America’s healthcare has been a pain point for many administrations, it’s a both sides issue. Rural hospitals will be impacted due to budget constraints related to this and it’s terrible! HOWEVER this isn’t a shut down the government issue.

The US government shouldn’t be shut down and impact tax paying US Americans to leverage an issue related to immigration. I think the parties have until end of year to resolve it but could be mistaken.
