YTD: 10-4 (+9.08u)

Texas (Leiter) +110 over Baltimore (Bassitt) (1x)
-Chris Bassitt (in 2023-2025) is 0-1 with an ERA of 8.53 in 4 starts vs the Texas Rangers, while Jack Leiter has never faced the Baltimore Orioles. Texas is 2-1 on the road this season having scored 18 runs the process (an avg. of 5.33 runs/game).

ChiSox (Martin) vs Miami (Paddock) Over 8 (1x)

Boston (Suarez) -108 over Houston (McCullers) (2x)
-Red Sox pitcher Ranger Suarez is 24-16 his last 2 years with the Phillies and is a perfect 7-0 with an ERA of 1.99 in March/April and last year was 1-0 vs the Astros giving up 1 ER in 7 2/3 Innings. Lance McCullers, meanwhile, has had only 13 starts since 2022 and in 2025 he was 2-5 with a 6.51 ERA and an ERA vs Boston of 6.71 in his career. Houston also is one of my fade teams early on in the season.......Play Boston

San Diego (Buehler) -114 Over San Francisco (Roupp) (2x)
-San Diego pitcher Walker Buehler is 7-2 with an ERA of 2.79 against the Giants in his career and finished up his 2025 campaign with a 4-1 record and an ERA of 2.42. HE was brilliant during spring training, throwing 5 inning in his last spring start, giving up 1 hit and 0 runs. Meanwhile, Giants pitcher Landen Roupp is 0-2 career vs San Diego with a 4.88 ERA.

San Francisco/San Diego Under 8.5 (1x)
-See above writeup for details on pitchers. Both of these teams have had trouble scoring runs to start the season, with San Diego scoring 7 runs in 3 games and San Francisco scoring 1 run in 3 games. This total is about 1-1.5 pts too low.

g/l all.......................

didn't have time to do a writeup on Chris Paddack's terrible stats (an ERA around 6 the last 3 years) but he gives up 8 runs on 8 hits including a grand slam in 4 IP. Need 1 more run in the 4th inning

3-2 tonight for -1.34u - first losing day of the year. All my 1x plays won, all my 2x plays lost

I was pretty happy with my handicapping, winning 60% with the key turnaround being Ranger Suarez losing the FIRST game of his career in March/April and Lance McCullers pitching like it was 2021. I'd make the same play again on Boston, this one just didn't work out.........But, that's baseball........

Don't be tough on yourself for a break even day. It's baseball and none of us have a gun to our heads forcing us to take your plays. I will say your write ups help influence myself a lot. You are as solid as anyone at capping these games in multiple sports.
