    Military guys - a question

Why are we sending the apache helicopters to attack the Republican guard when we have the jet fighters on the ships that would be less vulnerable to counter attack? I'm already sick of the helicopter fatalities already and now their being fired upon and I don't want to see any more soldiers...

    Wisky/Weber

Weber State is a heavily backed dog, in the office pools, the ESPN crowd, and on the message boards. The thought that Wisconsin just doesn't blow people out is only perception because they play so ugly. In their 22 wins, they have failed to cover 7.5 only twice and in Weber's 5 losses, 3 were...

    AntiConsensus 2003

Don't post in this forum much because I only play unranked favs over ranked and Nickelback took care of those(felt oh so sharp at the beginning of the season, towards the end, . . . not so much) but this is the time of the year that I do well by going straight anti-consenus (also works in the...

    Comrades in Arms?

The similarities between the European nations and Islam is that both have proud histories, but both just don't matter on the world stage anymore. Germany and France, We don't need your help, don't want your help and we were only asking your approval to be nice. Germany, France Line Up...

Hate to sound like a square, but . . .

I'm at work right now and am going to be getting something to eat at a local establishment. What's the next game on ESPN or ESPN2 and . . . Who should I take?

    McGahee turns pro

Oh Goody, Another broken-down running back for the Bears to pick up. I was afraid that they would pick up a franchise QB and turn the organization around. Miami's McGahee, Johnson entering NFL draft January 14, 2003 CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami running back Willis McGahee and wide...

    Did anyone see . . .

The quick shot of the Giants bench right before the fieldgoal when Strahan was holding onto his coach who was kneeling in front of him. Maybe he was praying, maybe something else, but it's not something I would like shown on Nat'l TV. Looked like they were pretty intimate. :brows:

    gardenweasel

just saw your post in Ray's thread about capping games and not worrying about what the public's on. Curious as to when and what changed your thinking as I remember you to have used it last NCAA tournament and in the NFL preseason. Respect your opinion and just was wondering your thoughts

    They're still over-rated

;) (just kidding) Congrats to THE Ohio State University and to the Big 10. And congrats to a 34-game win streak in this day and age. Finally a great nat'l championship game. Really happy for Kosar and the rest of the Buckeye fans who have class. But their not the ones here tonight. :D...

    I love the Bowl System, but . . .

There's only 6 frickin' games on New Year's day. I know that it's been like this for a few years, but my favorite New Year's football memories were when there was about 12 games on for a few years. It was a couple of years after the Fiesta became successful by breaking the...

    Big 10

That's a Minnesota team who managed to win 3 whole games in the Big 10 taking down another conference runner up like Colorado. Can you imagine what they'd be doing to these teams if they didn't have to step up a class in the Bowl games since they got 2 BCS berths?

    Big XII chest-thumpers take note. . .

That is a Big 10 team that beat a total of 2 other Big 10 teams this year against a team that was in the Big XII Championship game. . . . I wouldn't say that the Big 10 is the best conference in the nation, but the Big XII has no reason to think that they're better than any of the other BCS...
