Hey fellas. I wanna see if I can continue my short success since becoming a member yesterday. I really appreciate all of the welcomes that I recieved and hope to do the best I can in picking some winners.

My favorite game tonight is UAB -5.5.

This team is strong, proving that in their last nationally televised game. I was extremely impressed.

The only thing that worries me is that they have a tendency to fade in the 2 half. Still a strong play for me.

You veterans let me know what you think.

like ohio state, this is also uab's 5th game in 7 days, and theyre laying points on top of it. uab succeeded in their role as an underdog last week for 4 games. now theyre expected to not only win, but cover. uab in a different role now. gl.

Gman, you are the man. I like Ohio St. as well, but don't forget how strong GT is at home. One of the reasons that I picked UAB is the fact that they covered as the underdog last week, so you bring up a good point, I hope that I'm not picking them for the wrong reasons.

I have extreme confidence in this pick.

Although, picking the favorite can be dangerous.

Gmas, I read your post wrong, thought you said you liked Ohio St. I am with you on Georgia Tech, also going to the game so I have to throw something on it.

i played georgia tech actually.

when i started my post with "like ohio state, this is also uab's 5th......", i meant the "like" to mean "similar to ohio state, this is also uab's 5th....." didnt mean to imply that "i like ohio state". just wanted to clear that up.

good luck with your play- but if its a strong play for you, why would you need to buy any points? not questioning your style, i just never understood why anyone would ever buy points in basketball? if you think that game is gonna be that close to the pointspread where a half point will matter, then perhaps you shouldnt play the play as strong as you originially thought about.

uab is a tough game. just a different role for them. they succeeded in the underdog role for 4 days. can they now switch roles, and not only beat teams, but cover a pointspread as well?

in the underdog role, all you need to do is stay close and take the game to the wire. that wont cut it here tonight. they have to somewhat convincinly beat ULL.

Your right, if i am playing such a strong play than I shouldn't buy the half, but I'm really weird about any spread that has a half on it. Call me crazy, but I'm just weird like that. You make a valid point though.

UAB is my strongest play of the night.
