Taking Indiana State is hardly going against the general public. . . I see a lot of ISU takers on this board. The line is low because many people buy into the 'you can't beat a team three times in year' theory.'
Hey Georgie! Do you know when tip-off is? Do you think the TREE has stopped bouncing around after last night?
I myself don't trust Indy State or Evansville. . .instead here are my confernece tourney picks today.
Bradley -4.5 vs Illinois State. This ISU has not had great point spread showings in recent MVC tourney, while Bradley has the look of a sleeper team in St. Louis this weekend. Bradley won and covered both meetings this year.
Towson +3.5 vs William/Mary. Towson has been decent as an underdog, but as it record suggests it covers, but loses. At 3.5, there isn't much room for doing that, but this is more of a bet against WM and their CAA Tourney history. They're 1-14 SU/ATS in their last 15 league tourney contests.
Iona -2 vs Canisius. There is a lot of evidence to support that Iona is more than a bucket better than Canisius regardless of where the game is player. Iona is 9-1 SU vs Canisius and 6-1 ATS vs the Griffs since their games became point spread eligible. The bad news is that ATS loss was in the last meeting, but Iona still won by four points. This year, Iona had a more convincing win in the road game against Canisius, than they did at home. Like 'em a lot in this one.
GLTA!!
