Two plays I like but will only play one. Sticking to my system this week of playing one game and want to see how profitable it is to avoid multiple plays during the week.
Havlat returns tonight and will play with Spezza and Schaefer. Really like that line. Lots of speed and skill and a great 3rd line. Don't the Caps have a 3rd line to match up with the Sens. Smolinski/Alfredsson/White on one line. Varada/Bonk/Hossa on the other top line. The Alfie and Bonk lines are 1a and 1b. 4th line is Neil, Van Allen and Schatslivy. Can't wait for Fisher to return as with him playing with Neil and Van Allen no team can ice a 4th line like that. Fisher is by far and away one of the most underrated players. Lalime will start in nets. All this being said I am no playing this game, although I feel Ott wins by 2 goals. They play at home and are rested as well as Havlat bringing some energy in his first game back. The price is too high at -183.

Leafs are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road. Great go against spot. Coyotes are rested and get a few players back including Sillinger who will play a key role in face-offs and checking one of the Leafs top lines. Coyotes have not played since Sat. If they can avoid the silly penalties from their last 2 games and bring the same effort they win this game by 2 goals. Leafs always get up for the top teams and we all know how they play against weaker teams. After Phoenix started 3-0 they dropped their last two. I see the Coyotes playing a slow and disciplined game. Belfour most likely will not start. Burke is in nets for the Coyotes. Leafs make their first trip to Phoenix in over 5 years. Should be a good crowd on hand.

Playing:

Pho.-.5(-115)(1 Unit)

Boyd Gordon will centre the Caps' third line with Matt Pettinger on the left side and Brian Sutherby on the right.

Who are these guys? If this is yoru 3rd line no wonder the Caps have won once in their first six games. The Caps usually get off to slow start at the beginning of the season.

HORNS,

I am shocked you are not on the Sens tonight. As you know they are one of the best home teams and they are playing a team that has not won on the road and looks like $hit!! Am I over looking something here(besides high chalk)? I see the Sens winning big!

I would really appreciate your input here!

Thanks and GL!

Thanks guys!

BigDog - I have talked to the Sens players on many occasions and they always state they would rather have 3 days off than 4 or 5 days off. What scares me is the start they could have tonight. If they give the Caps life and let them stay in the game midway through the 2nd period then the Sens will be in a fight. Sens are tough at home and Caps are weak on D but I like Phoenix more tonight and said I will limit myself to one play a night for the weekdays. Otherwise I would play the Sens if I was not using the one play system. Hope that helps. GL

Just got in from the game. Burke was terrible tonight and let in 3 soft goals. To see the Coyotes score 4 on the Leafs tells me one thing. The Leafs defense is average and you should not allow the Coyotes of all teams to score 4 on you. Sens pulled away in the third and looks like a team that will turn it on at will.
