Home opener starter Lynn will pitch final Florida game
The Cardinals, already assured of a winning Grapefruit League record at 13-11-2 (no points for a tie), will play their final game on Thursday against the New York Mets. Lance Lynn, who will be their first pitcher in St. Louis on April 13 for the home opener, will be their last starter in Florida.
In two games that were completed ? Lynn was throwing a shutout in another that was rained out ? the righthander has given up three runs in six innings. He also pitched in one simulated game at the minor league complex as he recovered from a mild strained hip flexor.
The Cardinals' lineup is their expected regular lineup, with the exception of Pete Kozma starting at second base in place of Kolten Wong. The start time is a new one, at 11:05 a.m., St. Louis time.
