Reply for JW from yesterday:
When you play a runner to PLACE at say 15/1, you reduce the value of your wager by 50% or more. A SHOW wager reduces it even further. Now you have no value as your wager will return maybe 2-5/2 or less. If you can run 3rd, you can win.

Thanks Dan. How much do you usually bet per race? I usually bet a horse to win and place only, but if they are a big longshot i will put it across the board. I just got TVG and it's awesome.

I don't bet often anymore, maybe 4-5 per month. If you track the info I provide, you'll note very un-unique capping methods as the ML usually gets bet down considerably. TVG is hot but I'd be broke quick. I capp a card a day for an on going contest for a group in England. It's just a hobby. Thanx
