Keep an eye on Valpo/ Ohio U tonight

Despite having DJ Cooper, Valpo should enjoy an advantage at guard play. Aussie Ryan Broekoff, a 6'6200 lb guard can be a very tough matchup for the Bobcats.

HOWEVER, Valpo's stud forward Cory Johnson is questionable with an ankle. I'd really like to see something definitive on him abefore the tip brcause he's the key. I think it all boils down to Johnson. If he goes Valpo has a very good shot of covering, if not they may not.

The MAC is something like 1-7 vs. the Horzon last time I checked and the one win was because of a 3 pointer at the buzzer for Akron Saturday night.

All I see right now is Ohio St -10' First half vs Morehead. Just a one unit play.

Rivalry game, usually pretty close. Though Buffalo has been very inconsistant to this point, I think that the points are a bargain.

Johnson recovering from sprained ankle and has also been diagnosed as having plantar fascitis in his left foot.

Been wearing a walking boot but has practiced the last two days.

Drew was hoping to have 6'9" Cameron Witt available tonight, but he was limited in practice and probably won't play until Friday.

Thanks much rrc, thats good stuff. I'm not too worried about Valpo getting beat up inside w/ or wo/ Witt. Before tip, I plan on somehow, someway getting a listen to Valpo's or OU's pregame show. I'm pretty much hanging my hat on Johnson here. Without any new word it will end up being a no action deal. I do aprreciate your post very much, thank you. Thanks to clem as well !!

Johnson looked good in shoot around and seems to be moving well.

Witt and Van Wijk are probaly not gong to go so the Crusaders are very thin in the front court.

I gotta pass, at least before the half. Still think that Valpo hangs tough
