mediocre day yesterday but have clear preferences in some of today's acc games so i'll open with those.


duke +13 and md +12 - lumping these two games together because both dogs traditionally play the respective favorite tightly. a little leary of the blue devils as it appears they're a public dog, but there are very few fcs teams the tarheels should be giving two tds. terps have just had the pack's number for decades, and i'd expect o'brien to play this game conservatively with a bowl and a .500 acc record hanging in the balance.

va +5: cavs can't get much respect this year but have quietly put together one of their best seasons in memory. bottom line here is winner of this game meets clemson in the acc title game, so expecting a top effort for the cavs.

ga tech +6 and sc -4: lumping these two together with the home teams as it's not often you find these big instate rivalry games played with one of the teams having a big lookahead. with the dawgs and tigers in conference title games next weekend i;m going to giv the edge to the teams looking to enhance their status.


bender - sorry don't have much of a feel for the total in the duke/carolina game, but my insticts tell me it's likely both teams will go to the back pages of the playbook today, so i'd lean over.

fsu -3: last weekend when i saw that furman was ahead of the gators in the second half i said to myself, "something is f*cked up in gainesville."

clem/sc under 49-: tigers have lost their mojo and cocks not looking for a shootout.

nc state under 54: the line moves in this game suggest the terps will not show up at all. obviously my opinion is to the contrary.
