I think Seattle realizes that all the regular season wins in the world won't do them any good unless they get to, and preferably, win the World Series. I remember the Denver Broncos a few years ago clinched their division long before anyone else. They rested their regulars late in the season but come playoff time, they were out of rythym and were quickly eliminated. The dangerous team in the AL is definitely Oakland. If they face NYY, they'll be playing w/revenge and I believe they will beat them. As for Seattle, I'd rather see them win than NYY, but I suspect if they end up facing the A's, they will come up short.
