just read this. in the past 3 yrs sweet 16 favs are 18-9 ats. more interesting is angle that is 18-0. play any seed 1-5 that is playing a foe who is seeded 4th or worse and has 3 straight wins and upsets. i believe nevada and xavier have 3 straight upsets.

Xavier was a 1st round 2 point dog to Louisville as a 7 seed.
Nevada was also a 1st round 2 pt dog to Michigan St but as the 10 seed.
Are both considered upsets just because they were getting points??

UConn tomorrow facing Alabama definitely would qualify.

Just my opinion.

Lowell how far back does that go and what qualifies? It would have to go back to regular seasons to be "3 in a row" and in a Sweet 16 game. And, how can Nevada apply - they were top seed in WAC and would only have 2 consecutive upsets. And wasnt X favored in A-10 final? So only 2 upsets for them too.

If it is tourney only it would have to be an Elite 8 or FF game and hard to believe there have even been 18 games that qualify unless it goes back a LONG time.
