I have been tremendously busy capping this seasons college hoops. I was surprised to see Gardner-Webb surprise Cats last night, but I think we will see a lot more upsets with all the coaching changes. Gillespie will have Cats ready for SEC.

Tonight:

DONS +16 (7 units).............I have no idea why this spread is so large. I have it capped at 8, and Sooners are getting way too much respect in my book. Capel is a demanding Coach, and I think his players will struggle early. I don't envision Sooners having a great year, and again this team will have to rely on defense. 43.5% field goal shooting last year is cause for concern. Loss of heralded recruits (Reynolds, James, and Mayfield) has left this team searching for an identity. Longar will be improved, but points from the perimeter will be my question mark. Austin Johnson lost some confidence, and the top returning scorer only averaged 8.6 ppg.

Blake Griffin will be the one I'm watching, but I wonder if older brother may be jealous of losing a starting spot.

Team will be putting pieces together early, and roles take time to develop........Too many young players here to expect immediate dividends.

Enter SF DONS, Holes are here too, but Coach Jessie Evans has a tremendously talented and fast backcourt. Transfers Manny Quezada and Doir Lowhorn have big game experience. Hyman Taylor a VTech transfer is 6'9" and will bruise.

I would be calling for the outright upset if it weren't for the loss of Wendell McKines and Andre Hardy Jr. who failed to make admissions. Transfer of J. Byrd will smart some too!

Dons have the perimeter power to play with Sooners. 16 points is way too many points to an unproven Sooner squad, even on their homecourt!

Good Luck Gents!

ADD:

UCONN/Buffalo OVER 66 (1st half)...(3 units).....All five starters return to UCONN. Calhoun scratching his head after abyssmal performances on the offensive end........has vowed to fastbreak and press......66 seems reasonable and Buffalo will oblige.
