And what was billed as the first-ever "politically correct" baseball game was played Tuesday between the minor league Lowell Spinners and the Brooklyn Cyclones.

The first, second and third basemen were "base persons" ? the shortstop became the "vertically challenged-stop" ? and the batboys were "bat persons."

No errors were announced so the players' feelings would not be hurt. And the fans who participated in those between-innings contests were all given "good try" ribbons.

But in a stark break with the concept of political correctness ? the teams did keep score ? and the Spinners lost the game 9-to-5.

Only to be followed by a lawsuit, submitted by the Cyclones.

In meteorology, a cyclone is an area of low atmospheric pressure characterized by inward spiraling winds that rotate counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere of the Earth.[1][2]


The weather phenomenon know as the cyclone feels as though there are not fairly represented as a mascot. Due to the fact that the baseball path to be ran is done so counter-clockwise. they will never be able to participate in any southern hemi. games. due to the clockwise rotation.

therefore , in a lawsuit, presented to the 8th district court earlier today. the brooklyn "cyclones" will need to retract and dismiss their mascot and team name, for go all games to be played in the northern hemisphere and forfeit and delete all games prior that have been played under said mascot.


It was been the recommendation of the court to rename the team mascot to something more suitable to the region, maybe something Native American.

I can not believe no one found the humor in this, i mean this touches so many facets of whats wrong today.

i hear you, brother...it`s not tasteful to trivialize, de-legitimize or ridicule one`s "personal internal struggle" without determining the "root causes" for this struggle......
