One for tonight. Good luck.

2001-2002 NHL Record: 56-76, -2918

Calgary PK +140 over PHOENIX 500/700

Calgary has won three of five including two of three on the road. Phoenix has lost three of four since the All Star game, giving up 4.5 goals per contest. I would expect Esche and possibly Vernon to be in goal tonight. Esche and Burke have both been suspect, with Burke playing the last four and Esche being off since 1/26. Phoenix struggled with the high tempo of Vancouver and Edmonton and they should have the same problem with Calgary tonight. Flames need a win badly for playoff position so I am playing the moneyline.

(the edit is because I accidentally wrote 750 as the amount to win rather than 700)

Nick,

I made sure this time that I double checked the games as I don't want Cal to bite me again.

You bring up an interesting point that made me ponder for awhile. Phx seems to have trouble with teams that play a high tempo game. Seeing several Phx games in the last few weeks I agree with you 100%. Phx forwards seem to be too lazy in getting back to their own end when the opposition has the puck and is attacking. I am also hearing that Esche is in net tonight.

This play looks like a really good DOG to be on, especially at the price of +140 :)

Good Luck tonight!!

Definitely agree with your play tonight. I can't see Burke in net tonight especially after that terrible 3rd period on Sunday against the Oilers. He really lost his cool going after some of the Oilers players at the end of the 2nd period. Cal. looked to have it together Sat. night against the Canucks. If they can play as a team which they have not done much of lately this should be theirs for the taking.

I won't playing it since I already have 2 plays but if it was after the break I would jump on it. Too many odd things going on approaching the break.

GL Nick!
