Bear with me here, because I once told myself that I would never take a dog over 21 points again.

However, these 2 games have got my attention.
..because of a 'look ahead' game.

ECU +23.5 at Va Tech
Baylor +21.0 at TCU

Besides the numbers coming out in my favor in both cases here's the real kicker.

Va Tech is at LSU the following week whicle TCU is at Texas.

My thinking is that both Va Tech and TCU will be showing nothing but 'vanilla' and just be happy to win the game...before the 'big' game...

because I think that TCU could beat Texas (don't laugh) and, much more believeable Va Tech could beat LSU.

Have I had too much to drink, or what you think?

:scared

TCU could indeed beat Texas, but just know that talk in Waco is that this is going to be one BAD Baylor team this year.
Cant make a play on them until I see what they can do.
Expect Mike Singletary to be named HC this off season.BU president hates Guy Morris and he is in the final year of his deal.

I like Arizona getting 5.5 at BYU.Think Arizona wins outright.
Also like Texas -36 over Ark.St. Horns are loaded up on offense and should score at will.Defense has holes, but wont see them vs. Ark St. 56-6.

Thanks for the inside info on Baylor Keygray. Baylor played them tough last year and even led 7-0 at the half. I think both teams have only about 4 or 5 starters on offense returning so the under could be an option...especially considering the strength of TCU's defense...It will probably boil down to how much TCU will score. I will check into Arizona some more, they had caught my attention of the first look thru.

Baylor might be the play in that game, just think it is risky based on all the talk.
Spread offense with a new QB who is still unknown.
Baylor may not announce its starting QB until days before game.
Under could be a good play here unless turnovers bite BU. In that case TCU would cover.

Understand that Baylor's coach used to play for TCU (also)...good reason for them to take it easy on them and they have a good 'excuse' with the Horns on deck?

Baylor was awful to end last season giving up over 31 points in each of last 6 games.
3-8 vs the spread on the season.Ranked 110 in defense and 113 against the run.Add a new QB,lose WR's,and lost great punter.
Be careful.

I am starting to like NORTH TEXAS(+41) @OU.
The only question is how fast can Todd Dodge turn UNT around. I say he does it quickly. Former UT QB and he had incredible success in Texas HS ranks. He will be a hot coach to get in 1-2 years.
Wide open offense.
Also OU has Miami coming to Norman the following week.
