2 plays for tonight

Lalime and Luongo are the starters for tonights game. As many of you have noticed over the last 3 months is that I don't have a problem betting against the Sens. But tonight there is no way that I will play against them.
Read Ottawa Sun Sports Section today by Bruce Garrioch. "Jacques Blasts Intensity"
This article says it all. He is calling out players in this article, something Jacques rarely does.
With Bure out of the line-up the Panthers leading scorer is a rookie. Sure Bure is a defensive liability, but also is the only consistent scoring threat. Valeri Bure is definitely out as he only started skating a few days ago and has yet to take contact.
Ott. has 5 players with more points than Huselius. Ott. has 7 players with more than Panthers second leading scorer, one being a defensmen.
Salo returns on D. tonight and should help the PP.
The only way Flor. wins this game is if it ends up 1-0 because they have nobody that can put the puck in the net on a consistent basis.
As well, the fact that Ott. rolls 4 lines as well as most teams in the league will play a large roll as well. With Roy, Neil, Herperger, Chara, etc... the Sens have the guys that can bang and crash, then the skill players can do their thing.

Playing:
Ott. -.5(-160)
Ana.- PK.(+160)

GL Tonight!

good luck buddy!! let's hope their done hitting golf balls and ready to hit some panthers...

since more people will read this, i wanted to go ahead and post this news for saturday

:Stars coach Ken Hitchcock announced Friday that Marty Turco will start in goal ahead of veteran Ed Belfour in Saturday's road game against the league-leading Detroit Red Wings.

well, turco has won 7 in a row, but i think turco should start mainly b/c it is a 1 o clock game. i dont have the exact numbers but belfour has struggled bigtime in day games(throughout his career at least in dallas), we all know he is a night owl......

not to mention, i think for turco to justify his numbers, he has to start winning against teams better than tampa and calg. he did beat the b's but needs to play against more top quality comp. ok enough of this, it is your thread, anyway just wanted to get it out there for you guys. later

oh one more thing, put a little on ott -.5/und 5.5 side total parlay paying +200, good luck fellas

Agree big time with Kevin

Agree big time with Kevin

I'm also from Ottawa and agree with Kevin that Ottawa is going to be focused tonight and take out their frustration on the lowly Panthers. Last Saturday, Ottawa was embarassed and managed only 10 shots on goal versus Toronto. They came back strong on Monday and beat the Leafs in the rematch. We have the same scenario set up for tonight after they lost to the Thrashers on Wednesday night. If there is one thing you can count on with these Senators (besides early playoff exits:D ) - it's that they bounce back well after losing to teams that they should beat.

Found a nice money line parlay that pays 1.40 to 1. Take Ottawa at -.5 -155 and parlay with Raptors and Pacers on money line tonight. Don't think either team will have trouble at home with Hawks or Bulls, respectively.

Good luck !!!

A note for Cobra...

A note for Cobra...

I took a look at your NHL/NBA parlay and won with it. Although Toronto going into OT gave me a quick scare. I just wanted to let you know I won and thanks a lot.

1-0 Tonight with a push(even though I ended up getting it at +.5 for Ana. but I will count it as a push since that is what I posted)

YTD 61-34

Glad to see you won mugs.
CI - you can post anytime you want on my thread, not a problem. Wish you could have won both plays, but at least you got a split.

Hope everyone did well tonight!

Congrats to all of us on a good night. I also was away from a TV for the whole night and came back home to see how close that Raptors game was

Sorry Mugs, if that game gave you a heart attack but that's just the way the Raptors play at home. They play down to the level of the competition but whenever Vince and boys decide to show up (usually in the 3rd quarter), they can take over the game.
