think i've got this figured out....lets see whay happens rest of the year.
usc 04=ou 03
"most dominate team out there", plays a weak schedule and looks like they sleepwalk half the time.....ou gets upset yet makes the title game and loses. sc falling into the same trap. neither team is-was as good as advertised (sc much better last year). SC looks VERY pedestrian on offense and seem to have no intereste in finding playmakers down the field.
ou 04 = sc 03
explosive, creative teams although sc defense is much better....sc left out of bcs title game, could happen to ou this year....wins title in ap poll and could be considered most complete team out there.
au 04 = lsu 03
dominant defense and strong running game, backdoors their way into the bcs game (not in top two in ap poll) and wins bcs title over a "clearly better" team.
This could play out the same way this year with Auburn sneaking past OU and making the title game and beating SC with defense.....while OU destroys their competition in the Sugar Bowl thus creating another split title.
Of course that is assuming all three teams win out. If any one of them loses then clearly the other two are in the bcs title game and 1-2 in the polls.
