USC +300
GATORS +525
SOONERS +750
GEORGIA +875
OHIO STATE +900
LSU +1200
TEXAS +1400
W.VIRG +1500
MIZZOU +1800

You have to like USC +300 and OHIO STATE +900

I don't give a damn what anybody says, these two
teams will more than likely play for the NC. May not
be right, but I am eventually going to put a little
cabbage on these two teams. Ohio State or USC
can afford to lose their game at the beginning of
the season. Ohio State will steamroll through the
rest of their schedule. As will USC. So, do you win
+300/+900 :0corn :0corn :0corn

I'd keep it small Al, Georgia is the sexy pick, I don't
think the SEC will be there this year, I think they
beat the chit out of each other while Ohio State
and USC roller skate through the cremepuffs for
the POS make believe NC.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the pussy Pac 10 and
Little 11 don't have the balls to play a conference
championship. Oh, and these are the only two
conferences that object to a playoff system. The
Rose Bowl pays out WAY to much $$$. Pathetic.

USC and Ohio State play each other in non conference play.....I guess north texas and smu were already taken for the sec

Believe me I would be first in line, to get a playoff started.....I hate all the politics involved with these kids and their schools... it needs to be settled on the field and nowhere else....not in a writers or coaches meeting and def. not on the computer.......but thats what we got.........something will change, it has too, but not many people are willing to come out and put their neck on the line right now...and the Big 10 comish (Delaney) needs to be dethroned....

No they don't dice. There was a segment on ESPN
talk radio dedicated to the HUGE discreptancy
between the Rose Bowl payout to the Pac 10
and Big 10 as opposed to all the other Bowls. You
are wrong about that my friend. These two
conferences won't budge because of the $$$$.

Whats the discrepancy?? Insert foot in mouth if I am wrong.... I was under the impression/assumption that each game paid out roughly $17.5 million this year per conf/team

Dice, the listed payout and the actual bottom line
are two different animals, that is what the
segment was all about. There is SO MUCH $$$$
generated from the Rose Bowl that neither school
is willing to pass it up. I'm sure other's in SoCal
heard the segment, I think it was on Cowherd's
show, I'll try and look it up. I'm not making this up
Dice, it is a fact both conferences don't want
anything to do with losing their Rose Bowl $$$$.

I'm not disputing the fact that neither conference wants to lose their Rose Bowl tie in...it guarantees both conferences money, every year....You have me curious as to how much the discrepancy is compared to the other BCS bowls...

the only thing I found was that the Rose Bowl pays both the Big 10 and Pac 10, not the BCS, whereas the other 3 (now 4) major bowls are paid by the BCS......now the Rose Bowl payout may be a little higher, I'm also wondering if the BCS still throws money at both those conferences as well......if anybody could find the payout for the 5 major bowls, that would be appreciated

For a sleeper, I would look at Missouri. Offensively, they should be awesome. Not sure about their defense.

Not sure they are much of a sleeper......Offensively they WILL be awesome and they should imo easily win the Big 12 north....and most likley have a rematch with Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship

if they play the way they are capable of without any letdowns then on paper they basically have a 3 game schedule

Aug. 30: Illinois (St. Louis)
Sept. 6: Southeast Missouri
Sept. 13: Nevada
Sept. 20: Buffalo
Sept. 27: open
Oct. 4: at Nebraska
Oct. 11: Oklahoma State
Oct. 18: at Texas
Oct. 25: Colorado
Nov. 1: at Baylor
Nov. 8: Kansas State
Nov. 15: at Iowa State
Nov. 28/29: Kansas (in KC)

any word on whos taking over for Temple in the backfield??

explain why the pac-10 needs to play a conf champ game?

it's the only conf where everybody plays everybody else......they took the 12th game a few years ago and made it a conf game as opposed to say someone like....southeast louisana, or la monroe, etc...

why should the Pac 10 and Big 11 get off so easy,
that's my explanation. It's simply not equal and you
know it. Pretty black and white, no gray area here
for dispute. That's why these two conferences
don't want to buck the system. You know it, I
know it, and everyone else knows it.

sorry you're completely wrong in regards to the pac-10......the bcs rep is the conf champ.....why have a title game when you have 10 teams and everybody plays the other 9 teams??

bag on the big 10 if you want as they have schools that miss 2 other opponents but in reality, the pac-10 is the ONLY conference that has it right (the sec, big 12, acc are all flawed in that teams miss other teams from the other side and could miss the better teams from the other side, not really fair)

gjn, IF the teams in these playoff conferences miss
playing someone in the same conference, it will
show up in the conference championship. For
example, if Florida missed playing LSU during the
regular season, because they are in a different
division (east/west) and LSU won the west, they
would play in the conference championship. The
bottom line is it doesn't make a shit if all the teams
play each other, the creme of the crop rises to the
top. On the flip side, the creme of the crop might
have to play each other twice. It's simply not a
level playing field and you know it.
