I went to Emporia, Kansas this past weekend and played in large Disc Golf Tournament, 438 Players. Everyone knows of the weather in the Midwest. The sirens went off twice Saturday night.

Here is a example of the wind. I just threw it down at the pole so this happen to me when I was putting, happen enough befoe I got to the Green. Lost three discs in the water and had 19 OB's but it was still a blast. Worlds in Charlotte in July.

I made an 8 on this hole losing one of my discs off the tee, this was a Par 5, only one in the Tournament.

Sorry for the Facebook, link, not on YouTube, I hope it can be viewed.

Wow. Suprised they did not cancel with that hell of a wind. Gotta love Kansas. LOL
Looked like a nice course. Better luck next time!

They never stop a round except for lightning. We had Tee Times for Friday-Sunday. Two round were at Golf courses and a third at a Lenghten GOLD course from a 36 Hole Disc Golf course.

I'm in for the sport but this brings out my limitations.

The Mens Pro Won 1750.00, Will Schusterick. I got a Killer Players Pack

What's the point of playing in that heavy wind? Seems to me like trying to play regular golf in the rain or something.

Disc golf is simply not big enough to move a tourney around like that. You have all the amateurs paying their own way there. They can't show up and be told that they will need to stay over into the next week to finish the tourney. Even most disc golf "pros" have day jobs.

Thanks for posting this video, Another Steve. I've played a tourney round in similar conditions. It's all about just gritting you teeth and playing smart. Disc golf fiend here that hasn't even tossed a disc since I got to South America 19 months ago. Casey Jones has got nothing on me. I can't wait to smash some chains again.
