Just a thought for those who like run lines as much as I do. My usual style has been to bet dogs and run lines for what I considered to be big favorites. Always liked to win more than I layed so I almost never bet a favorite straight up. This system has never really made any money for me because any amount I made off the dogs seemed to always be offset by run line losses. Everyone here who has ever bet a RL knows what I'm talking about. So a few days ago I thought I'd try something new. I decided to stick to dogs, continue to bet favs on the RL but also add a straight up bet on the fav to win the same amount I am laying on the RL for that particular team, effectively covering myself in case the fav won by only 1 run. This seems to have really turned things around for me and yesterday I went 21-6, more than doubling my bankroll. It still would have been a good day for me had I not bet this way, but it wouldn't have been nearly as good. I am sure some people must do this already, but just thought I'd throw it out there in case somebody is looking for something different to try.
