Once home to the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins, Metropolitan Stadium was fully abandoned when the Vikings and the Twins moved to the new and cutting edge Metrodome in January 1982. The Metrodome served its purpose until it was torn down in 2013 and the new US Bank Stadium opened in August 2016.

The 6,566 seat stadium was built in 1963 and the venue was used for boat races, concerts and even boxing events but it?s usefulness ended when Hurricane Andrew blew in. After the super Hurricane destroyed much of Florida in 1992, the structure was deemed unsafe and abandoned. It has sat empty for the past 25 years.
