10 unit play on CWS +120

I realize the White Sox have to come down to Earth at some point. i also realize that the A's bats will come alive at some point. But, I don't think it happens Monday night.

Barry Zito has started off very poorly with an 0-3 record, a 6.94 ERA and a 1.5 WHIP

Jon Garland is off to a great start at 3-0, a 2.57 ERA and a whip of 1 flat. Most importantly, he has walked only 4 guys in 21 innings. A big problem for him in the past. He's only 25, maybe he will fully turn the corner this year.

My only concern is that White Sox hitters have not fared well against Zito in the past, while Oakland hitters have handled Garland. However, thus far this year, they are two pitchers heading in opposite directions. As well as two teams.

Oakland is second to last in the AL with RISP. If anyone watched the Sunday night game vs. Anaheim, you can see why this team is really struggling to score runs. The pressure builds up when a team continually fails to come through in clutch situations.

Lastly, the White Sox are 14-4 including 8-2 on the road, and 9-2 at night. They may have beat up on some mediocre teams, but winning breeds confidence.

Sox are hitting .262 this year compared to .238 for Oakland.

It is a small sample size, but these two teams do not match up at this point. Give me the hot team, 7 in a row, with the hot pitcher, going against a struggling offense and a struggling pitcher who is walking too many batters at plus money any day, even if they are on the road.

Feel free to offer any opinions, or anything I may have missed, but this looks real solid to me.

The rest of the card will be up before gametime.

nice to see NDNfan on this as well

may also add a small parlay later on to most likely get rid of the odd number in my account, or hopefully end up with a bigger odd #

noticed that Loophole, came across that while trying to figure this line out. Play has been made already, and I'm sticking with it since I think most of the strength of the play is within the Starting pitching and current team situations. Thanks for the input anyway.

I like the CWS too!! They are playing great ball. Oakland on the other hand is scruggling to produce runs. Looks for a good spot for the Sox to take one in Oakland. Oakland shut out 3 games out of the last 6. Sox pitching very well from starts, to mid-relief and closers.. Should be close either way so why not take the better team at this time in the season as a dog.

I'm all over it for 5 units myself myself but will wait for a bit more $$ on the dog.

Good luck buddy!! Keep up the good work
