Here are some quick notes on each game tonight. Good luck.

-Sens return home healthy from a two game trip where they looked dominant. Caps were on a five game unbeaten streak against non-playoff teams before the Sharks pummelled them. Ottawa has outscored the Caps 15-6 in two wins this season.

-Atlanta has won two straight and seek a sweep in the back to back today vs. the Isles. Isles have given up three or more goals in both games since the break and 3 of 4.

-Smehlik will be out for Buffalo tonight. Both teams play back to back and travel, historically an under scenario. Schwab played well for Toronto after a shaky first period where he got no help last night.

-Montreal pulled out a surprising win with Hackett in net last time out. The team had been badly outplayed in three losses prior to that. Carolina comes off a huge win at Boston after outplaying Toronto but losing when Joseph gave a super effort.

-Who knows where it came from, but the Lightning have gotten 3.50 goals per game since the break. Panthers suffered their fourth straight loss by one goal but continue to play their best hockey of the season, especially Luongo.

-Turek continues to play well as the Flames earned three points in two games vs. Colorado and St. Louis since the break. Nashville has scored just one goal in each of their last three prior to surprisingly coming back and beating Edmonton last time out.

-Salo had a poor outing in his only start since the Olympics and his team collapsed as well, mustering just two third period shots. St. Louis is troubled by injuries to Weight and Tkachuk. Just 2, 4 and 5 goals have been scored in each of the games between these teams this year.

-Wild looked impressive in their first game back with a great win at Anaheim. They have won all three meetings in this series this season. Canucks continue to struggle defensively, giving up four goals in each game since the break. Vancouver offense is hot, though, with 3 or more goals in 5 of 6.

Thanks guys. I figure since Jack is nice enough to give me a page here I might as well at least post a couple sentances of what I come up with handicapping each game.
