So a lackluster 1-2 record last night. Makes me 2-3 with my posted picks. Looking for a better day today....liking these to get the record to 5-3.
1. Florida State (ML +115). I really think that NC State has packed it in. They looked uninspired losing at Virginia by double digits this past weekend. FSU has a little bit of momentum coming in, having won a couple of games in a row. I know that both games were at home, but one of those wins was against a tournament bound Clemson squad. Meanwhile, NC State has lost five in a row and four of those were by 10+ points. FSU by 7......69-62.
2. One total I like tonight is Miami/Clemson to go UNDER 68 (1st half). Clemson has had a week off after losing a grinder of a game at Florida State. I think tonight's game will start much like the Va Tech/BC game did last night. Clemson and Miami's guards match up well with each other too...so I'm thinking the transition defense will be solid. Halftime score...32-29 Clemson.
3. I do like one other total tonight too. I like Georgia Tech/Duke to go OVER 77.5 (1st half). Duke should have 50 points by halftime in this one. I'm assuming that GT can handle getting 28 points. I could be wrong, and I hope I'm not...but I really see Duke laying in on thick here. Georgia Tech hasn't played but one home game in the past 3+ weeks. So the road weary Jackets could easily give up plenty of points. Only reason I'm staying away from Duke -8.5 in the first half is because their defense doesn't tighten up all the way, until later on in the first half at times. Regardless, there should be plenty of points in this one. Halftime score 48-38 Duke.
As always, good luck in whatever you play!
