USC is -14 against BC, which is 2-0. Kiffin named a starter today but has not named his replacement yet. Total is also 43. First glance: how in the hell does SC over 14? And I a diehard SC fan

Stanford is -28 at army. Line should be 41-44: what am I missing

Unlv is -7 at home to CMU. Unlv could not beat our local HS team, bishop Gorman and yet they are favored. Can CMU be that bad?

Also, the over in neb-ucla at 70 looks about 8 low.

Love to get some thoughts

Huskers D can get torched at any time, plus the PAC-12 doesn't play any D. Over looks good.

BC seems to be rejuvanated under Addio.....long trip though for BC.

I watched a good chunk of the AZ/UNLV game, you are correct, Rebs are pretty bad....they shouldn't be faves over many teams.

A little late night MAC Football action this week as CMU heads out west. The Chippewas have had a rough start, losing badly at Michigan, losing their starting QB and RB in that game, and struggling against New Hampshire in Week 2. Luckily for CMU, UNLV has struggled more. The Rebels currently are near the very bottom of the FBS in defensive statistics such as points allowed, and are averaging just 18 points a game through the first two weeks. It's not a guarantee, but CMU might actually get a break this week.

Cooper Rush Named Central Michigan Starting Quarterback For UNLV Game

Three weeks, three different starting quarterbacks. That's the situation the Central Michigan Chippewas are in.

One start into his career as the Central Michigan starting quarterback, the brilliantly named Alex Niznak has been replaced.

During today's Mid-American Conference coaches teleconference CMU head coach Dan Enos announced that redshirt freshman Cooper Rush has been named the starter for Week 3 against UNLV.

"We're still trying to figure out who we are a little bit, in certain areas," Enos said.

Niznak was named the Week 2 starter after Cody Kater went down with a broken collarbone in the season-opener. Niznak led the Chippewas offense at the beginning of the New Hampshire game Saturday, but struggled to get anything going. CMU trailed New Hampshire 13-0 midway through the second quarter before Enos pulled the trigger and brought in Rush.

Rush played brilliantly, leading the Chippewas back to a 24-21 victory. He threw for three touchdowns, all in the second half, and finished the game with 326 yards.

During Niznak's time in the game, the sophomore went 2-for-5 with 7 yards.

"He came in and did a really good job and provided us with a spark," Enos said.

"Saturday we were out of sync and it was pouring rain when he came in," the coach said of Rush. "He put the ball in the right spot and made very good decisions for the most part throughout the day. Where we go from here? I think as we evaluated the tape we feel that Cooper deserves to be our starting quarterback at this point and he will start Saturday."

Two weeks ago Rush was the third string quarterback, and due to extenuating circumstances Rush is now the leader of the team. A dark horse candidate to win the starting job in the summer, Rush was beat out by Kater and Niznak in the depth chart. But Rush possessed superior passing abilities from the start, and with Zurlon Tipton out for the season CMU is without their running game, making the quarterback position all that more valuable.

Now Rush's tasks have changed from holding a clipboard to holding a team together that has started to unravel. After his performance in the second half of the New Hampshire game though, getting support from his teammates shouldn't be an issue going forward. now he just needs to continue to come through for them.

Seems to me UNLV had a lot of starters back from last year. Also, the Rebels outfirstdowned and out yardaged Minnesota, even though they lost that game by 30 pts or so. I think UNLV beats CM, although covering the spot could be dicey! Thanks for the good info, IE!

USC has no clue what is going on, the team does not respect Kiffin for anything, he talks out both sides of his mouth and his ass-etts, no vote of confidence for this dumb MF.

Stanford only giving 28 to Army? Army has won already, San Joesey gave Stanford a tough batter, Stanford will plays lots of peeps in this tilt and probably win by 35 or more, depending what kinda mood Shaw is in.

UNLV has done squat, they return a lot of starters from last year, but half are in the bag in Vegas and CMU does suck, they have a battle at the QB spot and Enos I am believing is one of the dumbest former alumni coaching in the NCAA!! MAC playing in Vegas as an underdog including bowl games is like 6-1 last 7, including 6 wins and 1 loss?

Games that stick out to me is why Oregon is giving 24 to 28 1/2 to an SEC team with a New HC in Tennessee? Rutgers is giving up 4 plus touches to EM? USF sucks and they are giving 2 touches to Fla Atl who didn't do too bad at ECU? USF off huge road swing at E Lansing MICHIGAN of all places? Penn St opened at -6 and now down to -5 vs Southern squad in UCF? something up here especially with frosh QB at helm for PSU. PSU field and crowd worth at least 5 pts.
