YTD 63-40

Lalime starts in net tonight and as wigs pointed out it is Patrick Lalime bobblehead night, next week it is Danile Alfreddson B.H.night.

The Ottawa Sun and the Team Radio Network are reporting that Cechmanek will start for Philly in nets tonight.

NOTE: Zdeno Chara is definitely out tonight, just reported at 3pm on radio here. This will hurt the physical aspect of the Sens game.

Ott. had a mental skills session with a professional yesterday after practice to work on keeping focussed leading up to the all-star break.

You ask why? The Sens are in a critical part of their schedule and if they are going to make any sort of a run they said they need to see where they stand against the elite teams in the league.
Of their next 8 games before the all-star break, they face Philly 3 times, Boston 2 times, and throw in Det. & Mont. well they are faced with a tough stretch.
Keep in mind Philly has come off physical games against NJ, NYR & Mont. over the 3 games in 4 nights. They should be a little lethargic tonight. They bused to Ott. after last nights game against Mont. which is about a 2 hour ride. Don't know if they had a morning skate.

Ott. will most likely make a trade after the all-star break as they are very weak down the middle. They are lacking a 2nd line center and they budgeted for a 32 million payroll this year and are only spending 28.8 to date.

I think Ott. will come out hard and press the Flyers in the first 10 minutes. This game should sail over the total easily. Ott. is afterall the highest scoring team in the league. They have scored the most goals of any team in the third period and have the most goals 5 on 5. Something to keep in mind.

Playing:

Philly/Ott. o5.5(-115)
Edm./STL o5(+120)
Nash./L.A. o5(+130)

L.A. should be an easy over, if Ana. can score 5 on Nash. who knows what L.A. might score.
Like Det. o5.5(+120) especially with Esche in for Pho. but I don't want to play too many games. As well, look for Car. to rebound from a poor performance against Van.

GL to all tonight!

wigs,

Alot of Philly players have stated how the last 3 games have taken alot out of them. Emotionally, physically and that there bodies are feeling it a little more than usual due to the amount of games in a short time at a high intensity. Ott. speed killed Philly last time when they won 7-2 but Philly has its act together a whole lot more now then they did back in Oct. Lots of snow here today!

whaler,

I agree but when was the last time Boucher played. They have to give Cechmanek a break one of these and I am always afraid that a coach might make a change at the last minute. You are right about the over the last 6 times and this definitely plays in our favour.

What makes you like the Car. over so much? I have not really had a chance to look at this game. At first glance the side looks good in playing Car.

You guys know where thes come from...

The Flyers are 14-6-3 ATS when on the road.
On zero days rest, the Flyers are 3-1 ATS.
The over is 8-2-1 in Philadelphia's last 11 overall.
The Senators are 6-1-3 ATS & SU in the past 10 meetings.
The over is 16-8-1 in Ottawa's last 25 overall.
OTT has the best offense at 3.22 goals/game for.

Like Horns said, they only played once this year so far. Here are the last two years worth of results:

Recent Meetings
Date Home Away Line ATS
10/25/2001 Phi. 2 Ott. 7 0,-220/5.5 Ott./O
3/26/2001 Ott. 3 Phi. 3 0,-170/5.5 P/O
12/2/2000 Ott. 5 Phi. 3 0,-165/5.5 Ott./O
11/11/2000 Phi. 4 Ott. 3 0,145/5.5 Phi./O
10/17/2000 Phi. 1 Ott. 6 0,100/5.5 Ott./O

Good luck tonight.

1-2 tonight with a push on the STL over

Brutal night once again. Ott. game should have went over if not for brilliant goaltending by Cechmanek. Ott. tried to establish the forecheck in opening 10 minutes and Cech. came up huge. After the flurry by Ott., Philly took total control and from the first goal on Ott. was never really in it. Missing Phillips, Chara & Hnidy really allowed Philly to have their own way in Sens end. No real physical presence on the blueline tonight was the final nail. Ott. came out hard but as they say teams after 3+ game road trips tend to have a let down at home and they certainly did. Glad I didn't play the side otherwise I would have been more frustrated. Late game with L.A. looks awful as well but still early.

Whatever anyone does, do not play my games because then maybe you would win, these last 4 days have been horrible and far and away the worst stretch I have had to date.

fdc.......thanks.

As for the fawking LA Kings, this team does not give a shit about the game tonight. I can not believe I subjected myself to that boring game. Poor people that paid money to see that garbage is a pitty, that is what is wrong with the NHL, toooooo many meaningless games. But you would think L.A. would like the 2 points but they are looking like they are trying to do everything possible to give those 2 points away tonight. How the hell do the Ducks of all teams score 5 on Nash. and a team like L.A. go scoreless in 2 periods.

Make it 1-3 for tonight and a push. Damn push, a winner in the STL would have made this night alot better or another in the Ott game would have made this night even better.

Tomorrow I will give no explanation and play a weird system just to see if I can pull off what $$$ did tonight with his dogs.

Fawking L.A.
