YTD 63-40
Lalime starts in net tonight and as wigs pointed out it is Patrick Lalime bobblehead night, next week it is Danile Alfreddson B.H.night.
The Ottawa Sun and the Team Radio Network are reporting that Cechmanek will start for Philly in nets tonight.
NOTE: Zdeno Chara is definitely out tonight, just reported at 3pm on radio here. This will hurt the physical aspect of the Sens game.
Ott. had a mental skills session with a professional yesterday after practice to work on keeping focussed leading up to the all-star break.
You ask why? The Sens are in a critical part of their schedule and if they are going to make any sort of a run they said they need to see where they stand against the elite teams in the league.
Of their next 8 games before the all-star break, they face Philly 3 times, Boston 2 times, and throw in Det. & Mont. well they are faced with a tough stretch.
Keep in mind Philly has come off physical games against NJ, NYR & Mont. over the 3 games in 4 nights. They should be a little lethargic tonight. They bused to Ott. after last nights game against Mont. which is about a 2 hour ride. Don't know if they had a morning skate.
Ott. will most likely make a trade after the all-star break as they are very weak down the middle. They are lacking a 2nd line center and they budgeted for a 32 million payroll this year and are only spending 28.8 to date.
I think Ott. will come out hard and press the Flyers in the first 10 minutes. This game should sail over the total easily. Ott. is afterall the highest scoring team in the league. They have scored the most goals of any team in the third period and have the most goals 5 on 5. Something to keep in mind.
Playing:
Philly/Ott. o5.5(-115)
Edm./STL o5(+120)
Nash./L.A. o5(+130)
L.A. should be an easy over, if Ana. can score 5 on Nash. who knows what L.A. might score.
Like Det. o5.5(+120) especially with Esche in for Pho. but I don't want to play too many games. As well, look for Car. to rebound from a poor performance against Van.
GL to all tonight!
HORNS
