two-time defending Eastern Conf. champs coming off an embarassing loss to Columbus a few nights ago. Rested.
Isles getting all the back page ink this year. They are now coming back to earth and are still a bit overvalued. Played O.T. last night.
NJ flexes muscles here and wins the hockey game for a- it's pride, b- bragging rights, and c- it could really use the two points right now.

looks like I'll need it! Not only are the Devils down 1-0 after the opening period, but they are getting outworked and are taking stupid penalties. This has LOSS written all over it. It's early, but it looks like a bad call on my part.

you should be saying thank you refs or thank you donald aucoin if you think that penalty with 10 secs left in regulation of a 2-2 tie was the right call...

Believe me, I've also had my share of penalties go against me in crucial times.

no Stag, just disappointed that a shady penalty cost me an otherwise perfect night...and i seem to be on the losing side of those type of things more often than not

I watched the hilights last nite and Aucoin definitely grabbed the guy's jersey at the back and then simply hauled him down.

in regular season, the refs gotta blow that. who cares if it's last minute or not. playoffs are different story however, i'd wager that that doesn't get called in a playoff game.

Sam, i was not complaining...simply stating my thoughts and opinion about what happenend in a game...but i'll be more careful about that from now on...wouldnt want to share my thoughts on a public forum too often.
