Marlins made no major acquisitions this year. Dealt their closer Alfonseca and starter M. Clement to ChiCubs in exchange for J. Tavarez and a handful of minor leaguers. Believe me, it's tough rooting for the team here in S. Fla. Nobody believes that the team i shere to stay. Marlins were to be contracted last year, so were the Expos. Expos owner sells to MLB then buys Marlins for a song. Marlins owner sells (whining all the time) and goes and buys BoSox. Every trade here is viewed as a measure to reduce costs, NOT as a way to improve the team.
Could've gone out and got some decent BP pitchers (are there any?), but with one of the lowest salaries in bases, they couldn't afford to. Another Fire Sale like in 1998?
Beware of the Fish and their mental stamina this season!

thats a good advice and i think what you say is true, but i still believe they have some talent there and could win some games, they just really need a good bullpen arm, if they get one they'd be tough to beat, i really like their rotation, fresh young arms...

I was thinking of you as they almost lost another one. Congrats on the win.
