$4,500 to win $1000 on CHARGERS WINNING

I thought I had a guranteed winner for $1000. Not to many times do you see game winner missed at home which is exactly what I had. I also could have put $1000 to win $5,500 on Jets but thought no way Chargers miss FG @SD.

Just put $3,500 to win $500 on Jets winning the game. So now I lose $4000 if Jets win it.

the odds were -450 from 40 yards out? thats awfully high. not sure what the nfl % is from that distance, but almost 5/1 seems steep for a young kicker.
bottom line is he shoulda made it, but wasnt a chip shot.

Gman, I made my bet before that. I made it before SD was doing those STUPID conservative plays. I made it when SD was already in FG range and when SD was easily moving the ball on the tired Jets defense. Then SD goes ULTRA conservative SD misses kick. But I still could have won my bet if Jets didn't drive down the field and win.
That woulda been the easiest $1000 of the year but no way will I ever do that in game betting for that amount with that odds.
8/10 times the team woulda won but I am on that 20% side. DAMMIT!

oh ok. i thought you KNEW the distance of the FG and then made the 4500/1000 bet.
i know what you mean. chargers just sat on the ball and didnt try and advance it after they got in range.
tough break. im glad i hit my +155 OT bet but i obviously didnt deserve it. this in-game stuff is tricky.

I knew for sure Chargers would get a FG attempt when I made the bet. I also thought their was decent chance Chargers would have driven the ball down to 10 yard line and easy kick and win it. OR maybe even score a TD. Jets defense was tired and Chargers easily were moving the ball.
Anyways, kicker still should have made the 40 yard kick especially playing at home.
AND I still had my chance to win my bet after they missed it.
Win some and you lose some, and I lost big trying to pick up some easy cash. Def. won't do that again anytime soon!

I don't do much in-game betting, but when I did I found the way to win $$ was to go against the team about to (possibly) score. I made some cash in baseball waiting for a team to get a runner on base, and THEN betting on the fielding team. I mean, who would do that? Everyone's going to bet on the team that (might be) about to score, aren't they? But you'd get a nice little payout and sell, then wait til someone else would get a guy on base and do it again. ~Somebody~ out there laid you a trap I think.

total horse shat. marty had 3 downs to get it closer - why not try ? stupidity. i told the wife he would not try another play, but run up the middle - after they were in range. he is and will always be a $hit bag coach. far too conservative.
