FYI, as many probably know, four players including best player, Tyler Smith are out for at least tonight's game. Smith, back-up center Brian Williams, shooting guard Cameron Tatum, and back-up point guard Melvin Goins were arrested New Year's Day on weapons possession, open containers, and pot charges.

This leaves the Vols with 11 players, and only seven of which have had any significant playing time. SIU transfer Josh Bone, will begin play tonight and backup Bobby Maze at point guard.

They are laying 10- points to a 3 loss UNC-Charlotte team at home. I think this line is rediculous. Charlotte beat the shit out of Louisville a cpl weeks ago and always has solid talent.

Will take UNCC for a dollar, and see how the first half goes.

Skipper, I totally agree. This line looks strange but it just shot up to +12...I wonder what's going on here.

I have a feeling that there will be close to a packed house with alot of support. Fans are pissed and DO NOT want any of those four back on the team. Sounds crazy, but with the NuKeese Richardson deal in football, they are sick of it and want a no tolerance rule.

We will see what happens. That is why I am not betting the mortgage on it, but still like UNCC.

I agree with that, they have to goodbye to the lowlife scum. Cut them loose so they may soon begin their new career as the new soap boys in the pen. Tenn must make a stand here or they lose all creditability. If I were involved with the Tennesee program as I am with my university, I could never again support a college that downplayed such an incident. My contributions would cease at once and if it costs the Vol's a decent season, so be it.

FCP - I think they are starting to realize that. I am honestly a little surprised that the fans seem to be 95% for getting rid of them. All the information has yet to surface, but I cannot imagine a scenario that would get all these guys off.

I do know that a big name attorney here is representing Tyler Smith, the best player. Coincidence? I think not because he also represented Janzen Jackson, the only player who wasn't kicked off the football team in an earlier altercation.

Believe it or not, many are also getting sick of Pearl's routine as well. He made a comment the other day where he said and I quote, "We still have alot of weapons. Well, maybe I should have phrased that another way." There was no laughter in the room.

He has to back up his early years here and start winning in the post season, or he will be nothing more than a loud mouth Jerry Green.

is it worth a $ line play on charlotte @ +600???

DD - I think it is worth throwing a little down on the ML. I will drop a quarter on it, but I just don't bet as much on cbb as I do football. That damn three point line and late game foul shots have just cost me too much grief.

Good points skip, I can not stand to even look at Pearl anymore and I used to think of him highly when he was in the Horizon. He's gone way to Hollywood for me and I don't think the fluff is equal to the substance.

He's going to find himself in an unfavorable situation soon and I could not be happier to see him take the fall.
