hi guys, bad day @ blackrock on sunday... -8.5 units day.
after taking the lead 3-2 in the 8th inning, Tigers relief was anything but as they gave up walks and hits and 3 runs in bottom 8th to blow it...
fortunately I hit the 2nd half/heat n celts to soften the baseball losses... moving forward!

Monday's Totals System plays are....

XL Homestand
RedSox Ov #2 (vs Angels n weaver :scared )
Phils Ov (restart #2) off today
Royals Un (restart #2) off today

REG Homestand
*no system plays today

*Teams starting new reg. homestands today:
Padres << early under
Cardinals << early under

*White Sox 0-3 so far... gm 4 today vs balt, I like guthrie...
*Tigers starting 4gm homestand vs yanks... not a system play, but I'll be watching for potential

hey nut,

here's as basic as I can make it and still give you all u should know:

~~ HOME TEAM TOTALS SYSTEM ~~

1) 2 groups/systems...
"REG Homestand" (group playing 6 or 7gm homestand)...
"XL Homestand" (group.playing 8+ gms that homestand)
Most tms have 2-4 XL hmstds/yr, it varies from yr to yr.

2) First, "watch" the 1st gm of homestand, if it goes over... then gm 2 start betting under and continue "chasing" until it hits... when it hits, you win, you're done w/that tm til their next homestand.
(and vice versa if first gm of homestand gstays under, then start betting over til it hits.)

3) For XL Homestands, if the system hits a winner and there are still at least 6gms remianing in that homestand, I will "re-start" and go for a 2nd win during that homestand.

4) EARLY STARTS.... use your "search" tool and find my post on April 19th this yr, it explains early starts completely and has statistics for best tms from last 5yrs.

got it? These are the plays that I list daily.. Reg or XL.
I also track tms when they cover the runline during one of these homestands, but I will only post it if I decide to play it that day... same concept.

I started this about 3 yrs ago. I got frustrated spending lots of time capping and being on the "roller coaster"... win lose win lose... wasting time.

went bk, ckd stats for prev 2yrs, and found it can be a moneymaker, but you can also get creamed if you stay on a team that loses your bet 4, 5 or 6 "chase gms" inarow... streaks happen occasionally!
of course, alot depends on the "size of your unit" if ya know what I mean :142smilie
seriously, betting for smaller units, seeing how much$$ it takes to go on a 3gm or 4gm chase, then decide what's comfy for YOU. It's YOUR money....

The system works, but my bankroll is nottt bottomless, so I've been stung and don't wanna get stung no mo...
So I've decided to try something called "money management".... whatta concept!
Bottom line is... did you win or lose for the week... yes or no.

So, what I'm doing this season is tracking and posting the system plays everyday...
then deciding whether or not to start (or continue) a "chase" that day.

also, I will look at a few other cappers whose selections I respect and sometimes add to or even pass on a system play...

I don't think there's any "perfect" system, but I like using this...
I spent about 20 hrs of recording last season and for prepping schedules for this yr.
Now it takes about 15 mins/day to track results and figure out system plays for that day.

Sometimes I will wait and watch.. a tm goes under for 1st 2gms, then I start a chase on the over.... it just depends.
Use it as a resource, and go from there....
