0-1, -300 yesterday

Detroit +180 over CLEVELAND 300/540

This is a risky play because Cleveland really hits righties well and Weaver was not very effective against them in his one start against them this year.

Weaver does have a rubber arm, though, and Colon went long in his last start. The Cleveland 'pen really got overused in Anaheim and returning from a trip out west is always tough. Detroit's 'pen is solid and with the way the Tigers are hitting, their bullpen and Weaver are enough of an advantage to take Detroit here.

I have been on a cold streak so I am going to play a little homer parlay just for fun.

Oakland -120 over KANSAS CITY (USC boy Zito pitching)

MILWAUKEE +110 over St. Louis

Milwaukee +150 over PHILADELPHIA (NBA)

Bayern Munchen +125 over Valencia (Champion's soccer, I'm half German

Think Detroit are in a good spot too Nick, with Weaver on the mound, also playing the under as a slight hedge...
GL with the parlay - I'm a football fanatic (still find it hard to call it soccer) and think Bayern can get this one. Valencia have had the easier run in - only had to beat English teams

- and Bayern have the right players in key positions (centre-back, midfield, wing backs) to match-up favourably with the Spaniards.

Anders,

Glad to see you like Bayern. I really only follow club soccer for the Champion's League so I am glad there is some good reasoning behind this play, too. Good luck.

Nick...

Nice call on the Tigers. Jones tried to blow it in the 9th but they held on. Weaver didn't start too hot but got in a groove after the 2nd. Cashing a +180 is nice, isn't it?

Shame the Bucks couldn't come thru for ya Nick - when Iverson was 0-9 things looked kinda good.
Thanks for the Detroit winner - I had a great day playing u, Nolan and IE going 5-2

Might still have a dabble on the Bayern boys and the under 2.5 goals...
