Before I post this I want to post a quick note of endorsement. If you bet underdogs you just have to open an account at Sportsinteraction. I have been playing there for about six months or so and they have so many good underdog lines it amazes me. For example, today I found this game at +185, and the best I could find it at any of my other books was +175.

I have not looked at AL games yet so i may have another one or two later.

San Diego +185 over ARIZONA 300/555

This game is very strong. I even thought about upping my bet to $350 for this one and I still might.

Schilling is great but Arizona is not hitting the ball and their bullpen is very worn. They have played three one run games in a row and two of the last three have gone into extra innings. San Diego may have the best bullpen int he league and they have plated at least four in four straight games. Williams is a top shelf pitcher so I give the nod to the Pads here.

Nick,

Would you please approve Jack giving me your e-mail address?

I'd like to ask you something off-thread.

Thanks,

Nick, first of all, props to you for a fine season. I also like to find some good value with the dogs. I hope you don't mind, but I have a thought regarding the Padre pick.

I know you live here in LA and I don't know if you heard the 690 interview with Schilling. Remember last game at SD when Davis did the bunt single to break up the perfect game? Kurt is pissed, and feels the Pads were only trying to screw him.

IMHO, Pads did the right thing. Down only 1 run, battling for first place, you do what you have to for a win. I'm afraid the Padres may never get to the D-Backs pen. Schilling seems very determined to teach SD a lesson.

Hard to imagine the winning pitcher seeking revenge.

Continued success to you.
