Romero is the weak link of the Twins' rotation while Schmidt has been the most consistent starter for the Bucs. The Pirates' 'pen has not allowed an earned run to the Twins in this series and Hawkins has pitched 3 straight games for Minny so he may not be available or effective. Twins' offense has put up 0, 2, 2, 8 and 3 in their last 5 so they have not been consistent.

Davis seems to be regaining his early season form lately. Miller, on the other hand, has been awful since starting out so hot. Miller will go deeper into the game but the key guys in Texas' bullpen should be ready while Houston is shaky because of coming off a series in Colorado and playing an extra inning game two days ago. Obviously Texas has the stronger lineup and home field as well.

I dunno Nick ,i've got Houston tonite to get some revenge on Texas after that lambasting last nite.I think it'll be Miller time tonite. ( even though i hate that beer.)

Y'know, one week ago Detroit blows a 6-0 lead after 8 1/2 for me. Today, the Pirates (of all teams) come back from 8-1 down to win for me. The moral of that is that you shouldn't get too up or down about a single result because if you do the work the luck will work its way out over the long haul.

TV, good luck on your play but there is no way I would back Miller against this killer lineup on the road the way the Houston 'pen has been overused lately. An extra inning game Friday then a 14 run shellacking Saturday does not make today a good scenario for them.

I am out to watch the Lakers' game. I will update my record after my hockey game tonight.
