50-53, +3359 overall

I have been in a real funk for the past month or so. I started out on fire, all the way up to +$6300+, and have been treading water at best ever since. I normally play almost all dogs, but for some reason today I don't see much value there. So with that in mind, I am going to follow fletcher's advice that the best value is cashing a ticket and just play four chalk games that I think will win.

Toronto -130 over BALTIMORE 400/308

Carpenter is a solid starter while Roberts has really struggled since April. Tornoto should have the stronger lineup as well.

Minnesota (+1 1/2) -165 over CLEVELAND 400/242

Mays is a very solid pitcher but it is tough to beat Finley in Jacobs. The run and a half gives a good cushion here. Yesterday was really high scoring and I don't expect the bats to explode with these two on the mound. Minny should win and we have a little extra insurance as well.

LOS ANGELES -164 over Arizona 400/242

Park has just been super. Batista is a decent pitcher but with Park and this bullpen Arizona should be hard pressed to score many runs.

SAN DIEGO +100 over San Francisco 400/400

Jarvis is decent but really this is betting against Gardner. He had an okay run a while back but he is not great and with both pens being overused yesterday, that gives SD the advantage if Gardner is chased, which should happen.

Well, whaddya know? My two chalk plays hit and both dogs go in the tank. I may try sticking with chalk for another day or two, but I am still looking for good dogs, too.

Hey Nick... your analysis on SF/SD was right, as was your MINN/CLE game, it was just your play was wrong. That's not a slap in the face, but you said it yourself, should be tough to score, close game at JACOBS, (GO UNDER) and in SF/SD, you said the pens were overused, which they were, but with JARVIS's troubles, the OVER was the way to go... I kick myself all the time when I think this pitcher or that pitcher is gonna get rocked, he does, but they come back and win, and I LOSE!!! Or this guy will pitch a good game, he does, but I lose!! In cases like these, bet the OVER and who cares who wins, JUST SCORE BABY!!!! Or, with two good pitchers, let em battle and keep it under. BTW, MAYS was 10-4 UNDER going into tonite. HE'S this YEAR'S RADKE (so far!) !!

BTW... we should hook up some time and go to a DODGERS or ANGELS game. I'm in Anaheim.
