If the software would let me, I would buy back two of the plays I posted on bestbettor today. I posted the Baltimore play as sort of an anti-Escobar play after I followed his last start vs. the O's but now with Davis going it's tougher to predict how things will go. I posted the Pittsburgh play perhaps a bit hastily. I have been following Vargas thinking he will get rocked and he hasn't. At first glance I thought this was the spot for it but I now don't think so. The only thing I'm going with tonight is Texas.

Some other notes from the handicapping I did today:

-Both Villone and Webb pitched well last time out (some would say better than their talent would indicate) so it is natural to expect worse performances today. I am not so sure if I agree with that, though. Both had decent strikeout numbers and with both lineups relatively punchless I think the runs could be difficult to come by.

-I think the most tempting bet on the board has to be a NYY/BOS parlay. At the book I have funded I checked and the odds on this bet are +103. I will admit it looks good but value is value and the price on Boston looks steep. There can be an argument for Clemens since the Devil Rays looked so impotent vs. him a week ago. Just remember that no matter what you parlay, there still has to be legit value in whatever you put in a parlay. If you would make both bets as singles, go for it. If not, pass on it.

-I tried to find a reason to bet the Padres today but I just can't do it. Yeah, they are not a great road team, but Chacon is very strong and the Padres against him would seem like a poor play.
