Here are notes on the two 11 a.m. games. More to come on the afternoon games later. Good luck.

-Arrojo is a converted middle reliever and you really cannot expect more than 5 innings or so from him. Redman has looked like a legit ace recently, as he followed up two complete games with an eight inning outing last time out. Amazingly, he seems to be bulletproof to normal wear warnings, though he does go on 4 days rest after facing 30 batters today. Red Sox have outhit the Tigers in all three games and are generally a dominant road team, especially against inferior opposition.

-Even though Ritchie is struggling for the White Sox, he is in a good situation today as the Royals are really struggling to score runs. Their top setup guy, Grimsley, is also on the disabled list. Believe it or not Darrell May has been good lately for the Royals so the pitching matchup is more even than it looks at first glance.

Here are the notes for the rest of the games. Good luck.

-Marlins have been hot, winning four straight, while the Phils' offense has completely evaporated with one run in the first two games of this series. Duckworth is the Phillies' best pitcher, but he was rocked last time out. Dempster goes on 4 days rest while Duckworth goes on 5.

-As I see it, the Oakland game is unbettable. Zito is as hot as any pitcher in baseball, but Seattle has badly outhit Oakland in each of the first three games of this series. I would lean towards Oakland because usually a true ace is the stopper during a losing streak.

-Both Lohse and Colon may be in for rough outings after going long in their last starts and having low strikeout numbers. Both offenses are on fire as well.

-I really want to tell you that Texas is a great pick with Rogers coming off a big complete game in his last start, but I just cannot do it. He goes on 4 days rest after 127 pitches so it is too hard to handicap his performance. I do think this is a good spot for the Angels to finally lose a game in this series, though.

Very good thoughts Nick ... although I pulled the trigger on the White Sox today, I was very iffy on laying that kind of juice cause the pitching matchup is pretty even IMO as well but I think the ChiSox will get the win at home to win the series.

I agree with everything else you said. Colon though is on fire. I have him on my fantasy team this year and surprisingly, he has been much more consistent than past year and I think he is worth a shot at this price today cause Lohse is average at best.

I have been trying to get myself to pull the trigger on the A's but haven't yet but I definitely lean their way cause Zito is pitching great lately.

Good Luck!
