38 fouls were called. amazing. i would hate to pay money to go and watch about 85 free throws being shot in a game

I think that is where the refs are trying to be the game and not the team, a good ref as well as a good ump crew should not be noticed much, this sounds like a ego trio, that is just unreal, you need to let teams play , can't call every darn touch foul, or bump on rebound , being fair but physical is part of the game of hoops let them play, now grabbing a arm on a shot and stuff like that ok, but bumps and touch fouls got to be over looked under the boards and stupid touch fouls out past the key or comming down the court. This I would say was a bad crew. Hope someone saw it and they can fill us in.

I watched the last 5 minutes when EMU was up by 10 or so and CMU started fouling on every possession. The EMU coach just kept shaking his head. I think there were at least 5 fouls called in the last min. of the game. CMU just kept subin' people in to foul...

Odd that you bring that up. I sent off a letter to Mr. Chryst, the MAC commissioner a letter on the subject just a couple of days ago. It seems that there are a couple of loose whistles in this conference that seem to think that they are the main attraction.

It seems rare these days to attend or view a game on TV that has a nice clean " flow" to it. There are just way too many whistles.
